Raised Atheist Now Searching
My parents were hardcore atheists and I never heard about God until I started dating my current boyfriend who goes to The Potter's House. I'm 25 and completely new to Christianity which feels weird saying out loud. Last week they had someone share from darkness to light: my salvation story and I cried the whole time because it sounded like my life. Can anyone recommend more testimonies like that or maybe a sermon series on salvation? I need to understand what happened to me and if this is real because everything feels too good to be true right now.

That sounds like a lot to take in all at once, but in a good way. I remember a friend of mine who came from a totally non-religious background too, and after hearing a few raw testimonies she kept saying, “why does this feel so personal?” It took her time to sort it out, but those stories helped. You could check church for new believers in Prescott they tend to share real-life testimonies and simple messages on salvation. Sometimes just hearing others walk it out makes things clearer.
