How does the game hub feel on a mobile device?
I’m a bit of a stickler for UI/UX design, and I’ve noticed that most mobile game hubs have a very specific 'dark mode' futuristic aesthetic. I’m curious if this is just a trend or if there’s a functional reason why game hubs look so different from the rest of the mobile OS. Why do they move away from the clean, minimalist look of standard apps? If anyone has a link to an analysis of mobile gaming design language and why the 'hub' experience feels so distinct, I’d be very interested in reading up on it.
