About the event
This is a community for adults who have been impacted by trauma: of childhood, from abuse or violence, trauma from accidents or loss; PTSD; developmental trauma (C-PTSD), etc.
Our primary focus is to provide a supportive environment to aid in the self-discovery, healing and growth of each individual at his/her own pace. Our circle is one of space and safety where you can find connection with others facing similar challenges, and where, if you wish, you may share your experience.
Together we create this peaceful harbor for sharing of ideas, resources, and authentic expression, and we invite everyone who attends to listen and respond with empathy and compassion.
Resources and tools which you may find helpful will be shared or mentioned during each meeting.
You’re invited to the first of regular monthly gatherings at Sacred Roots, a new spiritual community center. This gathering will offer you: a supportive community (and new friends), a chance to share your experience of working with trauma with others (you can share and participate as much as you wish), offerings for healing and growth from knowledgeable leaders (including ideas and resources you can pursue on your own).
Our co-facilitator is Bodhi Deva Ma, a licensed therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
As well, Dr. Jesse Glaze, DPT, has been working in the trauma field for over 12 years. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and wrote her thesis on trauma. She is a registered yoga instructor and a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Her somatic work combines the ancient teachings of yoga, qi gong, meditation, and breathwork with modern somatic healing practices. As a somatic trauma coach, she guides her clients through the use of physical practice to release stored trauma in the body for a deeper level of healing.
David Baucom - a very knowledgeable and experienced trauma survivor will also be co-facilitating.
This will be a donation-based gathering. $5-$10 is suggested as donation, but not required. (We’d rather you attend and not donate than not attend!)
